Sunday was "Bondage Boudoir Mini Sessions" at the studio and it was everything I dreamed it could be. Because of the suggestive nature of the photos, most clients choose to keep their images private, but one woman modeled for a promotional set designed to give you an inside look at what these intimate photo sessions are like.
Dawn showed up at the studio with a bag full of props and accessories and explained each item as I went through it. We put together her first outfit from a combination of clothes she brought and stuff I had in the studio wardrobe.
Hair and make up were the first order of business and I felt like this was the perfect opportunity to use the dramatic fake lashes I keep a stash of. Dawn brought with her a fabulous collection of Kat Von D eye shadow and lip colors. We all rolled our eyes about the current Kat Von D anti-vaxer controversy while I picked out the perfect color combination.
Allison Hutchins shot these behind the scenes photos as well as some dark, fine art nudes and the "levitation" image. Allison is known for her expert level Photoshop skills and digital composites. Neither my studio, nor my model's body is equipped for levitating so Allison shot several images with me holding a chain overhead which she edited together to create the stunning finished piece.
I'm still processing all the images from this event so check back to see the rest!
